Like Netflix, Apple Tv+, and Disney+, Amazon Prime Video also has a great collection of series from around the world, with the option to watch in multiple languages. In this vast collection of their library, it is pretty easy to get lost.
For great starters, here are some of my favourite series on the platform that you should add to your binge list.
Hunters
The top-rated series on the platform, Hunters is the absolute best series, with an excellent plot and solid performances from the stellar cast of Logan Lerman, Al Pacino, and Greg Austin.
The two-season long web series is set in the 1970s when a group of people with various talents, ‘Hunters,’ are trying to hunt and kill all the Nazi war criminals for their crimes against the Jewish community.
Bosch
Adapted from Michael Connely’s best-selling novels around the same character Bosch, it is one of the best crime/dramas on Amazon Prime Video. The plot gets even better with each season and with strong performances from actors like Lance Reddick, Jamie Hector, and Titus Welliver who plays the lead role in the series. With the series pulling good numbers on the platform, Amazon has renewed the show for yet another season
The web series, which spans around eight seasons, including Bosch Legacy, tells the story of Harry Bosch, a homicide investigator in the Los Angeles Police Department who solves various high-profile crimes in and around the city of Los Angeles while dealing with a myriad of problems including court trials, internal affairs investigations, and his own personal life.
The Family Man
Created by Indian filmmaker duo Raj and DK, and with a splendid actor like Manoj Bajpayee in it, The Family Man is an absolute must-watch web series on the platform. The show is two season long and with the considerably strong rating from global audience, it is said to be renewed for third season.
The web series tells the story of Shrikant Tiwari, an Indian spy who is constantly on a mission to avert threats to his own country while dealing with a myriad of problems along the way, including the broken Indian bureaucracy, and his own personal life where he has to deal with his wife, son, and his rebellious teenage daughter.
Reacher
One of the newest addition to the platform in 2022, Reacher is one of the best series till now on Amazon Prime. The series is based on the Jack Reacher series book by Lee Child.
Based on the first Jack Reacher novel, The Killing Floor, the series tells the story of Jack Reacher, a former major in US Army’s Military Police, is now retired and is travelling across the country. While on his travel to Margrave, Georgia, he is arrested and is falsely charged for murder.
He gets free later, but decides to stay in the town to help with the murder case. The plot gets even nastier when the murder case is a part of big sinister conspiracy by a local corporate giant to hide his secrets.
Goliath
Interested in legal thrillers? Goliath is the absolute-best with star cast of Billy Bob Thronton, Diana Hopper, and William Hurt, who appears in two seasons. The show runs for four seasons and focuses on the life of Billy McBride, a once successful lawyer who is now an ambulance chaser and spends more of his life in bars rather than courtrooms.
His life soon changed when he reluctantly takes up a client’s wrongful-death lawsuit against the country’s most powerful law firm he once helped create and gets murkier as the trial proceeds and the big players responsible for his client’s case is hell-bent to do anything to save his company and his reputation.
